Wig Making Expertise
Achieving a BA Hons in Hair and Makeup Application for Production has provided me with invaluable expertise in wig making, a craft that blends creativity and technical skill.
Throughout my studies, I delved deeply into the art of constructing, styling and maintaining wigs. Learning the importance of picking the right materials and techniques would allow me to achieve a flawless finish. This knowledge built my passion for wig making in Tv, Film and Theatre productions.

Constructing, Styling and Maintaining for
production
Constructing, styling, and maintaining wigs to industry standards is an art that requires both patience and precision. As a wig maker, one must begin with high-quality materials, selecting the right lace and hair types to ensure a natural look and feel. The construction process involves intricate techniques, including knotting and weaving, to create a durable and versatile piece.
Styling is equally important; knowing how to wash, cut, and dye the hair can transform a basic wig into a stunning masterpiece; including how to reset a wig after a show. Attention to detail in every stage of the process is key to achieving a finished product that meets the highest industry standards.
Working With Wigs
I feel strongly about creating stunning and intricate pieces that enhance a performer’s appearance but also contribute to the storytelling in theatre and film.
This fascinating craft has lead me to collaborate with talented individuals. With dedication, I hope to leave a lasting impact on the industry, bringing characters to life through the art of wig design.
